TotalFlex grant for Daisy smart-grid technology
Energinet.dk, the Danish Transmission System Operator (TSO), has awarded a consortium co-headed by Daisy a grant of 26.4 million DKK from their ForskEL research program for the TotalFlex project.
Daisy Professor Torben Bach Pedersen will direct the scientific work in the project which will educate 7 Ph.D. students and 2 post docs.
The vision of TotalFlex is to develop a cost-effective, market-based system that utilizes total flexibility in energy demand and production, taking balance and grid constraints into account.
TotalFlex builds heavily on the novel “flex-offer” concept developed by Daisy and other in the EU FP7 project MIRABELhttp://www.mirabel-project.eu/
