VKR Annual Award 2011 goes to Christian S. Jensen.
The Villum Kann Rasmussen Annual Award for Technical and Scientific Research 2011 (Villum Kann Rasmussens Årslegat til Teknisk og Naturvidenskabelig Forskning 2011) has been awarded to Daisy Director, Professor Christian S. Jensen. The award is given for excellent and groundbreaking research within database management and data-intensive systems, especially management of temporal and spatio-temporal data. With 2,500,000 DKK, the award is the largest Danish research award in terms of amount, and one of the most significant within technical and scientific research.
