Hua Lu received the BSc and MSc degrees from Peking University, China, in 1998 and 2001, respectively, and the PhD degree in computer science from the National University of Singapore in 2007. He joined Aalborg University and Daisy as an assistant professor in February 2007. He has been appointed Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Science, Aalborg University since October 2010. His research interests include databases, geographic information systems, as well as mobile computing. His current research activities concern indoor spatial awareness, complex queries on spatial data with heterogeneous attributes, and location privacy in mobile services. He is a member of the IEEE.
