Abstract:
The advances in internet connectivity, so-called cloud computing, and the availability of massive amounts of data online has given rise to a new type of startup: the GroBig. The GroBigs are characterized by rapid development, speedy deployment, Big Data algorithms, and global potential. Their operational management style is typically referred to as “growth hacking”.
In this talk, we explore the dynamics that create the opportunities for the GroBigs. In addition, we propose an entrepreneurial method that take advantage of these dynamics when creating new businesses. Finally, we provide an entrepreneurial case study of a GroBig and the effect of our methodology, namely the company Social Quant
